Whips and Shyt specializes in creating LED lighted whips for high stress applications and the whips and Shyt whip is unlike any other Sand Car, UTV or SxS whip on the market today. The USA made CNC precision machined billet aluminum base has hardened steel stud with industry standard ½-20 thread pitch. The stud on the base of the whip gives the unique ability to be used with or without a quick release which is great if you are using folding mounts. The ½ inch fiberglass pole is thick and durable and is glued as well as secured with a mechanical fastener for the strongest fit. The pole is stiff and is designed to stand straight and tall even with a 3×5 flag. Remember the taller your safety flag is the more likely you will be seen by on coming traffic.
The pole is then wrapped with 300 of the largest LEDs available making it the one of the brightest whips on the market. Finally it’s all covered in super thick industrial grade, crystal clear shrink tube making it all weather resistant. It also includes the DC male and female electrical connections. This LED safety antenna is design to handle the harsh conditions of your environment and can withstand speeds more than 140mph. The wiring for my whip is external because it provides a much better electrical connection. Have you ever a buggy or SxS drive by with one or both whips blinking on and off when the whip shakes back and forth. That blinking is caused by the whip losing ground through the internal wiring. The power for my whip is supplied through external wiring providing a solid connection undisturbed by the motion of the whip.
